Sophomore Robbi Ryan leads a fast break with junior Emily Julian trailing.

With three dominant wins over their competition in their latest tournament in Riverton, the Sheridan Lady Broncs improved to 9-1 on the season. The team took out Riverton 47-31 in their first game, then defeated Kelly Walsh 60-44, and ended the weekend with a victory over Evanston 62-44.

Overall the Broncs were happy with their performance, citing strong rebounding in Riverton helping them overcome any problems with missed shots. “We struggled a little bit with finishing but we had 37 rebounds against Riverton and we played well against Kelly Walsh and Evanston” said sophomore Robbi Ryan.

The Broncs were dominant all weekend as they look to two difficult opponents in Billings Skyview and top ranked Natrona County. After these two games, conference season begins with road games against Laramie and Cheyenne South.

The game against Natrona County will be the biggest of the season for the Broncs, who have blown out most of their competition except for their one loss to Natrona. “We’ve gotten a lot better since the last time we played them. We started a little slow so we know what we need to do to beat them this time” said Ryan.

The Lady Broncs will play in Billings Friday night against Skyview and in Casper Saturday afternoon for the matchup with Natrona.
