The Sheridan High School Lady Bronc soccer team is off to a great start to their season. With a record of 5-2, the team has gotten off to a fast start.

Within conference play, the squad is 3-2, with wins coming against Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne South, and Gillette. The team dropped two games to Laramie and East, but have improved greatly since the time they played those two conference foes.

Last week the girls had a break in the conference schedule to play against Natrona County and Buffalo. Against Natrona, Robbi Ryan and Jennae Fieldgrove scored a goal each to outpace the Fillies 2-1. The score was the same against Buffalo, 2-1, as Jennae found the back of the net twice.

The Lady Broncs have a tough week ahead of them facing off against the number one ranked lady Plainsmen on Friday and the force of the Cheyenne South Bison. Junior midfielder Emily Julian is confident in the Lady Broncs full potential,“Laramie is a really good team. They’re the new number one this week and are laying really good soccer.” says Julian, “But we’re gonna come out the second half of our season and play the best soccer that we can.”

The team is welcoming a new coaching staff this year with head coach Mallery Marshall and assistant coach Melissa Mowry. “We have a great coaching staff this year,” says Julian, “Coach Mallery Coach Cowry bring a lot of intensity to the team and we all enjoy playing for them.”
