SHS boys swim team
Ranked seventh of the 4A school’s in the state, the Sheridan Bronc swim team last swam against Laramie, Buffalo, and Gillette in an invite. “It’s been tough competing with only ten guys,” said Senior Luke Ostrowski.
However, three of the swimmers have attained qualifying times. Ostrowski qualified in the 100 breast-stroke and 100 fly. Senior Jack Syring qualified in the 50 free-style, and freshman Jakob Eckard in the 100 fly.
“I’ve been happy with my improvement throughout the season,” said Syring, “and I’m looking forward to state competition.”
Even with a small team, the team’s chemistry is strong from morning practices and swimming traditions. “We’re looking forward to shaving our heads for competitions… expect some sexy hairdos.”
The boys’ next competition is an invite at Cheyenne South Friday and Saturday.
